The Master of Cancer Sciences is Australia’s first cancer-specific, wholly online degree, delivered by world-class experts from Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) alliance members and Australia’s leading university, the University of Melbourne.
Dr David Kok is the joint course convenor, with Professor Grant McArthur; driving VCCC alliance member contribution and collaboration, as well as developing innovative, game-changing program materials.
A radiation oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Dr Kok is also the Director of Training for radiation oncology trainees at Peter Mac.
He is the chief investigator on numerous clinical and translational research trials, including a major research collaborative investigating melanoma brain metastases. He is widely published, with multiple articles relating to best practice in oncological care and contemporary medical education methods.
Dr Kok is a member of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), the Australian and New Zealand Melanoma Trials Group (ANZMTG), the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO) and the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE).
