Antimicrobial Stewardship - workshop for nurses

The VCCC is hosting an interactive workshop Antimicrobial Stewardship, for nurses who work in the cancer field.

During this interactive workshop, you will learn how to enhance your skills in patient assessment, communication about the sepsis pathway criteria and nursing interventions. Your learning will be supported by group work with clinical case studies.

During this interactive workshop, you will learn how to enhance your skills in patient assessment, communication about the sepsis pathway criteria and nursing interventions. Your learning will be supported by group work with clinical case studies. 

This workshop will be hosted by Belinda Lambros, Infectious Diseases Liaison Nurse and Clinical Researcher for the National Centre for Infections in Cancer at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

 Alongside peers you will learn:

  • When and how to use the sepsis pathway criteria
  • How to assess signs and symptoms
  • When it’s appropriate to switch from IV to oral antibiotics.

RegistrationRegistration is FREE and includes morning tea.
