Sarcoma Awareness Month webinar series: managing finances and logistics whilst undergoing sarcoma treatment

Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA) is partnering with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in July to present a special series of four webinars for Sarcoma Awareness Month.

Being treated for any type of sarcoma throws up a range of issues that need attention. From transportation and accommodation, to managing finances, employment and what to do about childcare, there is a lot to think about and organise at an already difficult time.

In this webinar, Kate Thompson and Illana Berger from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre will explore some of the practical issues that arise following a cancer diagnosis. They will also be joined by Sarcoma survivor Julijana Todorovic who will provide a patient perspective on coping with day to day life after diagnosis and during treatment.

Presentations will cover:

  • Legal and financial concerns
  • Travel and accommodation
  • Education and employment
  • Childcare

The presenters will outline options for support in these areas and provide information regarding additional community and health service support.

Moderated by:

Communications and Project Manager, ANZSA
