Dr Anita Horvath
Anita is Director, Clinical Research in the Department of Medical Education, Melbourne Medical School, at The University of Melbourne and Course course convenor of the Master of Clinical Research program. Anita is a biochemist, with a particular interest in field of haematology, with particular skills in investigating structure-function relationships of haemaostatic proteins and the development of a new class of antithrombotic agents. Anita has extensive experience in training early career researchers and post-graduate students and in developing research training programs for clinical and health professionals both locally and internationally including, China and Indonesia. Anita has a particular interest in evidence based medicine, systematic reviews and translational medicine.
Dr Ken Chin
Dr Ken Chin is a clinical epidemiologist with a particular interest in heart failure, diabetes, epidemiology, health economics, clinical trials and registries. Ken's specific expertise is in large datasets, data linkage and analyses for comparative effectiveness research and HTA. His skills include economic modelling, multiple imputation, propensity score analyses, survival analyses and time series analyses. Ken is actively involved in collaborations with industry, especially with regards to development of economic models for PBAC submissions and clinical trials. At Melbourne Medical School, Ken is the subject coordinator of Principles of Clinical Research, Study Design and Advanced Clinical Trials subjects in the Masters of Clinical Research program.
