Administrative Education Officer (readvertised)

Full time, maximum term contract to 30th June 2020

We are seeking an experienced person with a strong focus upon client service to join our team based in Parkville to work across a range of interesting educational initiatives to upskill our current and future cancer workforce across Melbourne and Victoria which includes:

  • VCCC annual student intern program in the area of cancer clinical trials across multiple partner sites

  • Supporting the co-ordination and development of our exciting new online Master of Cancer Sciences course (one of only three cancer sciences programs globally) in partnership with the University of Melbourne 

This role has diverse responsibilities and provides the opportunity to liaise with a range of stakeholders within the VCCC alliance and across both programs including:  

  • Coordination of multiple working group meetings, preparation of agendas, minutes, coordination of recruitment and orientation processes as well as monitoring intern progress 

  • Managing online resource portal for clinical trials and online systems associated with our online Masters Program. 
About You

To be successful in this role, you will be adaptable and enjoy a variable and fast-paced working environment. You will be super organised, great at following through and communicating progress and will take pride in your attention to detail. 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of developing effective working relationships at all levels, undaunted by working closely with academics, clinicians and researchers.  You will have a "can do" approach and use your proven initiative to keep activities, processes and stakeholders on track.

Multimedia experience eg Adobe Premiere Pro, Zoom, prior experience with LMS desirable but not essential. Opportunities exist to also learn these valuable skills. 

About the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre

The VCCC is a powerful alliance of 10 leading research, education and clinical institutions with a shared commitment to working together to advance and accelerate research, treatments and prevention to achieve better outcomes for those affected by cancer.

The tenure of this role is linked to VCCC funding of a four-year agreement to June 2020 with the Department of Health and Human Services. The possibility of further opportunities may also be available in the future, dependent on funding and operational requirements.
