SKILLED: Clinical Trials Assistant Internships

Do you want to build skills to join the clinical trial workforce?

Do you have a science or health-sciences degree with honours or higher?

The VCCC is committed to developing a highly skilled, clinical trial workforce, to expand clinical trial activity and patient participation in Victorian cancer clinical trials.

The SKILLED program provides paid internship opportunities in metro and regional Victorian cancer clinical trial units. Internships are available to Victorian-based graduates with a minimum Bachelor of Science (Hons) requirement.

The 24-week internship commences February 2019 and is suitable for candidates interested in gaining knowledge and skills in clinical trials. Interns will be provided with a comprehensive training program, clinical trial expert mentoring and on-the-job training.

Position summary

Clinical Trials Assistant interns will receive on-the-job training in study management, laboratory operations, and the regulation of clinical trials. Interns will assist in providing administrative and clerical support within a clinical trial unit, to ensure effective and efficient team operations.

In conjunction with team members, interns will assist in maintaining appropriate regulatory documents and ensure regulatory compliance in the conduct of clinical trials. Interns will liaise with clinical trial sponsors, assisting with onsite monitoring processes and project deliverables.

The SKILLED: Clinical Trials Assistant internships will be remunerated according to the Allied Health Professionals Award HS1.
