Leadership and scholarships
As an aspiring- world-class comprehensive cancer centre, the VCCC aims to build networks of knowledge and expertise to tackle the most difficult cancer research, education and clinical challenges.
To help us to achieve this aim, leadership and scholarship opportunities are offered to individuals who wish to develop their skills to support the efforts of the VCCC and who aspire to work collaboratively within the alliance and other domains for better cancer care outcomes. This acclaimed leadership development program is offered annually for senior clinicians, researchers, and clinician scientists from within the VCCC who are looking to develop the skills needed to become an effective leader in a complex, collaborative, multi-partner environment.

Victorian Consortium for Health and Biomedical Research Development Program
This four-day leadership course provides specialised skill development in managing and leading research teams. The program, offered annually has been designed specifically to help senior post-doctoral researchers transition from team member to team leader.

The Picchi Award for Excellence in Cancer Research
With support of the Picchi Brothers Foundation, the VCCC awards up to three $10,000 prizes anually to recognise excellence in cancer research amongst the top PhD students within the alliance. The Awards celebrate high-performing students with the hope of inspiring and encouraging the next generation of cancer research leaders.
