Health Service Organisation
A health service organisation is a separately constituted health service that is responsible for implementing governance, administration and financial management of a service unit providing healthcare.
A service unit involves a group of clinicians and others working in a systematic way to deliver healthcare to patients. It can be in any location or setting, including pharmacies, clinics, outpatient facilities, hospitals, patients’ homes, community settings, practices and clinicians’ rooms.
Health service organisations are responsible for reporting to their board, and/or governing body, on their implementation, conduct, performance against standard metrics of clinical trials.
